Key point — Acer launched the PA100 Portable SSD, just 9mm thick, 560 MB/s read / 430 MB/s write, up to 2TB capacity, 3-year warranty.
Why it matters — This level of speed used to be exclusive to premium SSDs. An ordinary portable drive now matching it shows SSD technology is getting cheaper and spreading faster.
Worth watching — The actual Thailand retail price isn't disclosed in this announcement, which will determine how well the PA100 competes against other portable-drive brands.
