Key point — Apple's official specs show the Apple Watch Ultra 4 no longer supports GLONASS, keeping GPS, Galileo, QZSS, and BeiDou, while the Ultra 3 supported all 5 systems.
Why it matters — Apple dropped the less-accurate signal from a dual-frequency device, which experts believe aims to reduce error and processing load (unconfirmed by Apple), while the Series 12 keeping GLONASS shows each model is tailored to its use case.
Worth watching — Real-world GPS accuracy tests of the Ultra 4, since Apple hasn't given an official reason yet.
